Challenge: New Hire Onboarding
An international fast-food restaurant was seeking a more effective way to onboard its new hires for quick deployment at their outlets. Based on NEA regulations, workers must be trained on Food Hygiene before they can work. This consists of an 8-hour face-to-face classroom session, with a diverse Learner profile. Results By designing bite-sized microlearning on Pocket SEED, Learners were able to start acquiring basic knowledge prior to classroom sessions, which were redesigned to be more interactive and discussion based. Classroom training was reduced by 43% with increased passing rates in assessment. There was positive feedback (8.9/10) in Learner engagement and 100% of Learners felt confident to apply these skills at their workplace. Write to us to hear the full story! |
SECTOR: CONSTRUCTION, LANDSCAPE
Challenge: Operation Fulfilment Workers are spread across wide areas with little supervision or job aids to facilitate their work when in doubt. With business growth and tight project datelines, bringing workers off-site to classroom training becomes a challenge. Moreover, diverse backgrounds and ethnicity of workers requires a solution that covers language barriers. A leading landscape & construction company in Singapore was looking to innovate and bring training to their workers, instead of workers having to come forth. Results: Pocket SEED served as a learning and operational tool with bite-sized, task-based modules were created where workers can find answers immediately. Where in doubt, workers could take photos and ask questions or share best practices through a social engine. Engagement feedback from workers was highly positive with a 9.6/10 rating. |
